How To Navigate This Site |
|
This tutorial is for only 2008-10 and later webs - the older seasons/webs haven't been touched. There are four primary levels to the 2008-10 and later websites. LEVEL 1 - HOME This is the start or main page of the site, and is always refered to as HOME. From the HOME page, there are two paths to get to team or event photo pages. The first path is following a link on the left large field, either thumbnail or text, to go to the INDEX for that particular sport or grouping. The navigation section on the right hand side also has links to these same pages, plus links to prior years and ordering tools. LEVEL 2 - INDEX INDEX always refers to the main page grouping for a particular sport or event. All pages for that particular grouping are linked from this INDEX page, and there is also a link back to HOME. The links in the right-hand box are still active to reach higher levels. Choosing either a thumbnail image or a PAGE link will take you to another page of thumbnails for that PAGE. LEVEL 3 - PAGE PAGE will display thumbnails for 1 to 27 images. IMPORTANT - To properly use the new viewer, allow all thumbnails on the page to fully load before clicking on one. Choosing any image thumbnail or image name will open a viewer with a larger preview of that image. **NEW** For Winter 2009 on, I'm using a new viewer, and the only link is in the thumbnail. At the bottom of the PAGE will be drop down windows to order any image on that page in several sizes. An alternate way to order is to write the image number down and mail the order with a check. See HOW TO ORDER and FORMS links on the right-hand links area for instructions. The STYLES page gives examples of the types of photos you can order in the drop down photo styles box. The row between thumbnails and shopping cart has a link to the prior page, the name of the current page, and a link to the next page. The first and last pages have a link back to the INDEX. LEVEL 4 - VIEWER The VIEWER is a new one, and has several new features. When it opens, there are NEXT and PREVious tabs in the upper one fifth of the image. These tabs only appear when your mouse hovers on the right or left thirds of the viewer. They allow cycling with the viewer only through all images on the PAGE. An alternate navigation method is to use the N and P keys on your keyboard (as well as left and right arrow keys). At the bottom of the viewer is a CLOSE link. You may also use keyboard X to close, or click on the darkened page behind the viewer to close it. Feedback, suggestions, and requests are welcomed! |
