What is Paypal? |
| Paypal is a charge card
processing solution for small concerns and individuals, allowing them to
accept charge cards and ATM card payments over the internet. It's
owned by Ebay, and if you've ever bought or sold anything there, you've
seen it listed as a payment option.
Traditional merchant accounts aren't cost effective for a (tiny)
business like my sports photography sales, and I would be forced to
accept only orders by mail if there was no alternative. Paypal
provides that alternative - a secure charge card processing service
designed for small businesses and individuals. The buyer is not
charged a fee to send payments.
I've used Paypal for over three years, and I've never had an issue. If you'd like to read more about Paypal, follow this link to their site. My preference is to receive your order by mail, paid by personal check. Paypal is provided as an additional service to you. Payment by personal check will not delay your order. |
